Black list
There is a ‘black list’ circulating on which dentists are supposedly claiming more than other dentists or overcharging, but what is that actually based on? This ‘blacklist’ is nothing more than the creation of ‘news’ without any thought being given to the importance of the quality of dental services and the major differences between them.
You could almost say that the dentists who are now on that ‘black list’ actually offer good quality. So it’s better to call it a ‘white list’. Dentists are decent and competent people, who cannot deliver a high-quality product for next to nothing.
Making choices
When you make a general choice about which product to buy, this is usually accompanied by a brief research of what is available on the market. Then you look at the differences in quality and what you pay for them. Based on that, you make a decision about what to buy.
Craftsmanship
A ‘black’ list purely on rates completely ignores the fact that there is a difference in the quality of dental treatments. Not all inlays are the same.
Placing a single implant in a set of teeth in which all teeth are preserved requires precision and craftsmanship. Especially if you keep the lifespan of the inlay in mind. An ‘inlay’ that is installed with skill and precision simply lasts longer. And that will save you costs in the long run. And we’re not even talking about pain!
