Veneers – including non-prep veneers that do not affect the enamel

A veneer is a shield of porcelain or composite that is made on the tooth. This enhances the shape or color of a tooth.

A veneer is usually made to beautify teeth. For example, the dentist can fill a gap between your teeth, repair chipped corners, whiten discolored teeth and hide crooked teeth.

Treatment
A veneer can be made of composite. This involves building the tooth into the desired shape layer by layer in one treatment.
A veneer can also be made of porcelain. This is done in cooperation with our dental laboratory. This requires at least two visits to the dentist. The first for preparation and impressions. Then the dental technician will determine the color. After 3 weeks, the veneer is ready and can be placed by the dentist.

With the non-prep veneer, nothing is ground off the tooth. Only a shield of very thin porcelain is placed on top. By adjusting the shape and color of the tooth, the aesthetics are improved. This is a very beautiful and tooth-saving procedure.

The advantage of porcelain over composite is its durability. Composite can crumble after a while.
